Important Notice
There is a major water main leak on the system, and Bracewell Engineering (the System Operator) has not yet located the leak. Additional shutdowns may be required to locate and repair the leak. In the meantime, a Boil Water Notice is in effect as of 21 April 2026 for the entire system. It is necessary to boil water for household uses until the Boil Water Notice is lifted. Please continue to conserve water as our system is losing treated water rapidly.
Potable water is available in a water truck at the Sam McDonald Park parking lot at 13435 Pescadero Creek Road for CSA-7 customers that are affected by the shutoff(s).

CSA7 Customer Advisory Committee
San Mateo County Service Area 7, La Honda, CA
San Mateo County Public Works operates County Service Area No. 7 (CSA 7) to provide potable water to approximately 70 customers in the La Honda community. The water system also supplies two County facilities: Camp Glenwood Boys Ranch and Sam McDonald Park.
The CSA7 Customer Advisory Committee is authorized by the San Mateo County Board of Supervisors to advise and make recommendations to the Public Works Director regarding water rates, plans for system improvements, and organizational and operational issues affecting CSA7 in San Mateo County (La Honda, CA).
